Company History of Saniku Foods Co., Ltd.

  In 1896, Professor W.C. Granger came to Japan and established the Anglo-Japanese Bible School, beginning the manufacture and sale of cookies. In 1928, the Health Foods Division was established within Japan Saniku Academy, commencing confectionery and bakery operations. In 1970, the Food Division was separated from Japan Saniku Academy and reorganized as the Food Business Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The company was renamed to Saniku Foods in 1974. A new factory was completed at the current headquarters location in 1978, occupying approximately 10,000 square meters of land. Saniku Foods Co., Ltd. was established in 1987, followed by the establishment of D.A. Kyodai Co., Ltd. in 1998. Adjacent land was purchased in 2000. D.A. Kyodai Co., Ltd. was renamed to Saniku Vegetas Co., Ltd. in 2003. A store was opened within Saniku Gakuin University in April 2013, and an Okinawa branch was opened in October 2013. In January 2020, the Okinawa branch was closed, a capital alliance was formed with Higa Saniku Health Co., Ltd., and the company was renamed to Adventist Book Center (ABC). In September 2022, it was renamed to Saniku Vegi-Life Co., Ltd.
